Instructions for the Reading test
You have 30 minutes to complete this part of the test. The timer will indicate how much time you have left.
Please note that you can read the example below and come back later to do the test, but once you press the "start!" button the timer will begin and you will not be able to re-start the test or navigate to another page.
There will be 8 questions based on short reading tests. You must select the most appropriate answer for each question.

A visit to the doctor is not the most relaxing of occasions, and the medical scientists are worried that blood pressure readings taken in surgery environments can be misleadingly high.
Medical scientists are worried because:
doctors may be frightening patients
the doctor's surgery may be an unhealthy environment
doctors may make errors in judgements after taking a patient's blood pressure
patients need to do more exercises to lower their blood pressure
